Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at her home on West Jennison Street, occurred the death of Mrs. Belle Wilhite, wife of Ben W. Wilhite.

Mrs. Wilhite was taken sick several months ago after having nursed her children through a siege of whooping cough, and having taken the disease herself, it ran into hasty consumption and her family had given up all hopes of her recovery several weeks ago.

Mrs. Wilhite was before her marriage, Miss Belle Harlan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Harlan, formerly of this city, but now of Indianapolis. She was married to Ben W. Wilhite about eight years ago, and he with three small children survives.
Mrs. Wilhite was a young woman of true Christian character and her devotion to her family was one of her beautiful qualities. Death came to her as a relief and she was prepared for the end, meeting it with Christian resignation.
